Food
The ethnic dishes are exotic. Manioc leaves, feuille, rice, pae and fufu (corn flour) are just a few of the ingredients that make up Cameroon’s dishes. Rice is usually eaten with sauces made from corn, manioc and plantains (bananas). Prawns are available in plenty in southern coastal areas. Street food is highly recommended, especially grilled spiced brochettes stuffed into bread roll with dressing and the Cameroonian style grilled chicken and fish with thick mashed potatoes. But be cautious with stews - the ingredients are often questionable. Cameroon grows a lot of fruits such as avocado pears, citrus fruits, pineapples and mangoes.
