The capital city of Ougadougou has several fascinating museums. Not to be missed are particularly the Ethnography Museum, the Snake Museum and the National Museum. The exhibits in the Ethnography and National Museums beautifully bring out the history of the country. The variety of snakes on display at the Snake Museum in the College de la Salle is awe inspiring and tantallising at the same time.

18 km to the north of Ougadougou is a small artificial lake where wildlife viewing is extremely popular.

Moro Naba Palace

Although the Moro Naba Palace is not open to the public you can view a traditional ceremony outside the palace on Friday mornings at 7 am sharp

Opened last August, the music museum located on Avenue d'Oubritenga is definitely worth a visit. It has traditional musical instruments from all over Burkina Faso.
