Airport
The 15 km drive from the city to Bamako International Airport can be covered in about twenty minutes. A bus service is operated to the city from the airport.
Departure tax is approximately CFAfr 8 000 for destinations within Africa and CFAfr 10 000 for other destinations.
Duty Free Allowance: 1000 cigarettes or 250 cigars, a reasonable quantity of perfume (opened) and a reasonable quantity of alcoholic beverage.

Air Mali also operates a few domestic flights. Light aircraft can be chartered from STA (Societe des Transports Aeriens)
Flights are not dependable, with delays and last minute cancellations occurring regularly.
